Tour Itinerary

DAY 1

Guwahati – Bhalukpong (240 km / 05 hrs. drive approx.)
On your arrival at the Guwahati airport or Railway station, our tour representative will meet you and help you continue your journey to Bhalukpong. On reaching Bhalukpong, check in at the hotel, have your lunch and rest. In the evening, head out to explore the local sites. You can also visit the Bhalukpong Fort, which was built during the 10th-century and is a symbol of the ancient glory of the place. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 2

Dirang – Tawang (160 km / 08 hrs.)
Today after breakfast, you will head to Tawang. En route, you will visit Sela Pass. Here, you can enjoy a breathtaking Himalayan vista along with one of the most beautiful lakes in India. Also, visit Jaswant Garh, a site to remember the martyrs of the 1962 Indo-China War and the Nunarang Fall, one of the most dramatic waterfalls in India. Once you reach Tawang, check in at your hotel. The evening is at your leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay at Tawang.

DAY 3

Tawang
Today after breakfast, head out to visit Tawang Monastery. It offers a ethereal beauty and shine view of the Tawang-chu Valley. It appears like a fort guarding the vast valley below from a distance. After that, you will visit Urgelling Monastery - the birthplace of the Sixth Dalai Lama & Ani Gompa, which the female monks run. After a late lunch and refreshment, visit the Tawang War Memorial. The evening at leisure. Enjoy overnight stay in Tawang.

DAY 4

Tawang - Bomdila (195 km / 07 hrs. drive)
Today after breakfast, you will drive to Bomdila. En route, visit Nag Temple & Gontse Garden Rabgye Ling Monastery. On arrival, check in at the hotel. If time permits, visit the popular Craft Center at Bomdila. Female traders run the Craft Center at Bomdila. Here you can buy wooden and bamboo products and colorful clothes made by the people of nearby villages. Also, visit the museum to get the essence of the culture and lifestyle of the local people. Return to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay at Bomdila.

DAY 5

Bomdila – Tezpur (160 km / 06 hrs. approx.)-
After breakfast, check out from the hotel & drive to Tezpur. On arrival, check in at the hotel. After freshening up, visit Mahabhairab Temple, Agnigarh & local market. The rest of the day is free at your leisure. Enjoy overnight stay at Hotel

DAY 6

Tezpur - Guwahati (200 km /05 hrs. approx.)
After breakfast, drive to Guwahati. On arrival, check in at the hotel. After freshening up, visit Kamakhya Temple and enjoy a river cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra. You can take a tour of the Umananda Temple. There are several motorboats available to reach Umananda. Another breathtaking spot is Basistha Ashram. By visiting the place, you will feel like you have got the Ashram or house of a monk of the Vedic era. Amidst the absolute serenity, the only sound heard are the chirping of birds and the sound of water streaming through the rocks. You can also visit the museum. If you want to meet the one-horned rhino, visit the zoo. The name Fancy Market denotes the kind of product available there. You can visit this famous market to buy some fancy products. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 7

Departure | Airport Drop
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport to board the flight for your onward journey.

Important Notes:

1. ILP (Inner Line Permit) Required
For Indian tourists, ILP is mandatory to enter Arunachal Pradesh. Ensure you carry printed and digital copies.
2. Weather Conditions
Tawang can be extremely cold, especially in the mornings and evenings. Carry enough warm clothes including thermals, jackets, gloves, caps, and woolen socks.
3. Altitude & Health
Tawang is located at over 10,000 ft. altitude. Acclimatize slowly and stay hydrated. Carry personal medicines and consult a doctor if you have breathing or heart conditions.
4. Connectivity Issues
Mobile network is weak or unavailable in many areas, especially Bumla Pass and nearby. Inform your family in advance and stay in touch when in network zones.
5. Cash is King
ATMs are limited, and many places do not accept digital payments. Carry sufficient cash for food, shopping, and emergencies.
6. Local Culture & Army Areas
Respect Buddhist traditions, monasteries, and follow rules at military checkpoints and border areas like Bumla Pass. Photography may be restricted in sensitive areas.
7. Road Conditions & Travel Time
Roads are scenic but winding and slow. Be patient with travel delays due to weather or landslides.
8. Essential Packing
Carry sunglasses, sunscreen, moisturizers, torch, power bank, refillable water bottle, and ID proofs.
