Tour Itinerary

DAY 1

Guwahati – Bhalukpong (240 km / 05 hrs. drive approx.)
On your arrival at the Guwahati airport or Railway station, our tour representative will meet you and start your journey to Bhalukpong. On reaching Bhalukpong, check in at the hotel. Window sightseeing and lunch on road while travelling to Bhalukpong. In the evening, head out to explore the local sites. You can also visit the Bhalukpong Fort, which was built during the 10th-century and is a symbol of the ancient glory of the place. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 2

Bhalukpong – Dirang (180 km / 08 hrs.)
Today after breakfast, you will enjoy a scenic drive to Dirang. En route, visit the beautiful Tipi Orchid Center spreading over 112.8 acres of land and research rare orchids. On reaching Dirang, check in at the hotel and head out to visit the Dirang Dzong and a Monpa Village. Also, visit the nearby Monpa Village to experience colorful cultural activities and dance and explore constructing houses with bamboo and mud that save them from chilled weather.

DAY 3

Dirang – Tawang (160 km / 08 hrs.)
Today after breakfast, you will head to Tawang. En route, you will visit Sela Pass. Here, you can enjoy a breathtaking Himalayan vista along with one of the most beautiful lakes in India. Also, visit Jaswant Garh, a site to remember the martyrs of the 1962 Indo-China War and the Nunarang Fall, one of the most dramatic waterfalls in India. Once you reach Tawang, check in at your hotel. The evening is at your leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay at Tawang.

DAY 4

Visit Madhuri Lake & Pangateng Tso Lake – Bumla Pass
Wake up early in the morning, enjoy breakfast, and get ready to explore some more in Tawang. Visit Madhuri Lake and Pangateng Tso Lake. Once done, get back to the hotel. The rest of the time is free at leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Tawang. Bumla Pass - One can visit Bumla Pass after obtaining a special permit and get to roam in breathtaking wilderness here. Covered with snow throughout the year, Bumla Pass is a famous spot for picnics at an elevation of 5000 m above sea level. Bumla Pass is best visited from the month of May to October.

DAY 5

Tawang - Bomdila (195 km / 07 hrs. drive).
Today after breakfast, you will drive to Bomdila. En route, visit Nag Temple & Gontse Garden Rabgye Ling Monastery. On arrival, check in at the hotel. If time permits, visit the popular Craft Center at Bomdila. Female traders run the Craft Center at Bomdila. Here you can buy wooden and bamboo products and colorful clothes made by the people of nearby villages. Also, visit the museum to get the essence of the culture and lifestyle of the local people. Return to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay at Bomdila.

DAY 6

Bomdila - Kaziranga National Park (204km/ 5.5 Hrs approx)
Greet the day with a toothsome breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Today, you will be transferred to Kaziranga, one of the must-visit tourist destinations in Assam. Tourists across the country visit Kaziranga every year to observe the one-horned rhinoceros, for which Kaziranga is renowned all over the world. The national park is spread across an area of about 430 square kilometers. Kaziranga is home to wondrous wildlife, including tigers, wild buffalo, gaur, leopard, stag, deer, hog, wild boar, and many beautiful migratory birds. On arrival, complete your check-in formalities at the hotel and relax. Enjoy your rest of the day free at leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel for deep sleep.

DAY 7

Kaziranga - Dimapur - Kohima
Wake up early in the morning, and get ready to enjoy the elephant safari from 5.30 AM to 6.30 AM in the Bagori range of the national park. After that, return to the hotel for refreshment and wait for the Jeep safari to pick up from hotel lobby. Return to hotel, refresh & for your Nagaland tour, starts from Kohima, the capital city of northeastern state Nagaland. After arriving at Kohima you will be assisted to your pre-booked hotel where you will complete your check-in formalities, unwind and spend the rest of the time at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel in Kohima.

DAY 8

Kohima local
Start your day 2nd with a healthy breakfast and drive towards Khonoma. The village is known as Angami naga village and is famous for its conversational ventures, forests, and unique form of agriculture, including some of the oldest terraced agriculture in the region. Witness the terrace cultivation and also interact with the local tribe to know more about the lifestyle and culture of these tribes. After exploring the green village, get back to your respective hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel in Kohima.

DAY 9

Dzoku Valley excretion
Post breakfast; board your transfer that will take you to the starting point of Dzuko Valley. Dzuko Valley is an absolute paradise for trekkers and is located on the border of Nagaland and Manipur. Upon reaching the starting point, begin your trek into the valley which will greet you with surreal natural beauty with a varied flora untouched by human interference. This trek is about 7-8 km, but the path is moderate and it will take approx 4 hours to complete the trek. Upon reaching the top, explore around, click some postcard-perfect photographs and rest for some time, After soaking in the views, start your return journey. Overnight at Kohima.

DAY 10

Hornbill Festival venue visit
Have a hearty breakfast and board your transfer back to Kisama Heritage Village. The venue of the Hornbill Festival is around 5 km from Kohima on the festival grounds of the organizers - Kisama Heritage Village, a small village of Nagas. After breakfast, you will be dropped at the Kisama Heritage Village to enjoy your day at the Hornbill Festival. This festival is a once in s lifetime experience to watch a beautiful cross-cultural mélange of 17 tribes of Nagaland, who proudly showcase their lifestyle for these 10 days. There are various cultural performances - folk dances, music with traditional instruments, survival techniques shows, etc. Walk around the village and explore the traditional houses, majorly made of wood and bamboo. Try the local cuisine, made by the tribal’s natives. You can also try authentic rice beer. Get more insights into the culture of Nagaland by interacting with the locals who are very warm and friendly folks. You will reach Kisama by the second half, after which you can enjoy the festival. Experience the myriad cultural extravaganza, food stalls, herbal medicine stalls, flower shows and sales, cultural medley, indigenous games, and Musical concerts. Return back to the Hotel / Home stay. Overnight stay in Kohima.

DAY 11

Dimapur – Departure
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport / Railway station to board the flight / Train for your onward journey.
