Tour Itinerary

DAY 1

Guwahati – Kaziranga
On arrival Airport / Railway Station. upon arrival pickup you then proceed to Kaziranga. Evening Cultural activities. Overnight stay at Kaziranga

DAY 2

Kaziranga – Bomdila
After early morning 5.30AM Enjoy Elephent Safari after breakfast Jeep safari check-out hotel and drive to Bomdila. En-route visit Tippi on the banks of the river Jia Bharali at an elevation of 190 mtrs is Tipi, an orchidarium with over 7500 orchids. On display are some of the finest species with names like the dainty lady's slipper or the more formal sounding Dendrobium. Arunachal has the largest range of orchids in the country. Overnight at Dirang.

DAY 3

Bomdila-Tawang:
After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Tawang. En-route visit War cemetery and continue with the drive till you reach Sela pass at an altitude of 4114m / 13494 ft. It is famous for high altitude Lakes & scenic beauty & is ideal for ice skating during winter. Check-in at hotel. Overnight at Tawang.

DAY 4

Tawang:
Full day city Tour. After breakfast visit Tawang Monstery and Sungester Lake(alt 14500ft) which was formed in 1950, following a major earthquake. It is better known as Madhuri Lake after the actress of the same name who came here for a shoot of the film “Koyla”. Evening return back to hotel. Overnight at Tawang.

DAY 5

Tawang-Dirang:
After breakfast check-out from hotel drive to Bomdila. Check-in to hotel. Later visit place like Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa), Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa), Bomdila View Point. Bomdila offers wonderfully panoramic view of Himalayan Landscapes and Snow clad ranges. Overnight at Bomdila

DAY 6

Dirang - Tezpur:
After Early breakfast proceed to Tezpur. Visit Chitrlekha Kala Udyan. Visit local market. Overnight stay at Tezpur

DAY 7

Tezpur - Shillong
After breakfast travel to Shillong. En route visit Umiam Lake (Borapani). Later Check in at a Hotel, Overnight at Shillong.

DAY 8

Shillong - Cherrapunjee
After breakfast travel to Cherrapunji, on the way Garden of Caves, Elephant Falls and explore the spellbound Mawsmai & Arwah Caves. Visit Nohkalikai Falls, Mawkdok ViewPoint. Enjoy the beautiful evening. Overnight at Overnight at Cherrapunjee.

DAY 9

Cherrapunjee - Mawlynnong- Dawki- Shiilong
After breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong, A picturesque village located in East Khasi Hills along the India Bangladesh border, Declared as the cleanest village in Asia by Discover India magazine in 2003, Later go for a short trek in the village and see the Khasi way of life and meet the locals. You can visit Balancing Rock, Sky Walk, Bangladesh Viewpoint and the longest Living Root bridge. Travel to Shnongpdeng Island. Overnight Camping at Shillong.

DAY 10

Shillong - Guwahati
After breakfast drop at Guwahati Airport / Railway station as per timings. Complimentary visit to Kamakhya Temple, if time permits. The trip ends with memories.

Important Notes:

1. Valid ID & ILP Mandatory
Carry a government-issued ID for all travelers. Inner Line Permit (ILP) is compulsory for entering Arunachal Pradesh (Tawang region).
2. Pack According to Weather
• Kaziranga: Light clothes for day, jacket for morning safaris.
• Tawang: Warm layers, thermals, gloves, woolen cap, waterproof shoes.
3. Health & Altitude Precaution
Tawang is at high altitude (10,000+ ft). Acclimatize slowly, drink water, and avoid alcohol. Carry personal medicines (especially for asthma, BP, or altitude sickness).
4. Wildlife Safari Instructions
During Jeep/Elephant safaris in Kaziranga, stay silent, avoid flash photography, don’t feed animals, and listen to the guide at all times.
5. Unstable Network Zones
Mobile signal is weak or unavailable in most parts of Arunachal and interior Kaziranga. Share your travel plan with family beforehand.
6. Cash is Essential
ATMs are rare in remote areas. Carry enough cash as UPI/Digital payments may not work in places like Tawang or Kaziranga forest lodges.
7. Respect Local Culture & Army Areas
Be respectful at monasteries and tribal villages. Don’t take photos in army-restricted zones (e.g., near Bumla Pass) unless allowed.
8. Travel Time Can Be Long
Be mentally prepared for long, winding road journeys – especially Bomdila to Tawang. Keep snacks, water, and a neck pillow handy.
9. Safety Essentials to Pack
Power bank, torch, sunscreen, moisturiser, basic first aid, refillable water bottle, raincoat/poncho, and dry snacks.
10. Eco-Friendly Travel
Do not litter. Carry your waste bags, avoid plastic bottles, and help preserve the pristine nature of Northeast India.
