The unique beauty and rich Buddhist heritage of the region soothe both soul and mind. On this Tawang trip you will visit Tawang Monastery, the largest in India and second-largest in Asia, cross the famous Sela Pass at 13,700 ft, reach Bumla Pass on the India-China border, and pause at the tranquil Madhuri (Shonga-Tser) Lake and Nuranang Falls. The drive winds through Dirang and Bomdila, with comfortable deluxe stays and a private SUV throughout. Inner Line Permits, Bumla Pass permits and daily breakfast are all arranged, so you can simply enjoy one of Northeast India's most rewarding mountain journeys. Welcome on arrival at Guwahati. At airport meet & greet with our executive & later Transfer to Bhalukpong. On the way visit Maha Mrityunjay temple and Nameri national park. Check in at your hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Post breakfast, proceed to Dirang. On the way visit Tippi orchidarium with over 7500 orchids. On arrival at Dirang, check in to your hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in Dirang.
After breakfast, you will head to Tawang. En route, you will visit Sela Pass. Here, you can enjoy a breathtaking Himalayan vista along with one of the most beautiful lakes in India. Also, visit Jaswant Garh, a site to remember the martyrs of the 1962 Indo-China War and the Nunarang Fall, one of the most dramatic waterfalls in India. Once you reach Tawang, check in at your hotel. The evening is at your leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay at Tawang.
Post breakfast, leave for a day excursion to Bumla, near the Indo-China border. Keep your lens ready for some exciting shots and en route visit PT Tso Lake, Sangestar Lake. Return back to the hotel. Afternoon visit Tawang Monstery, Golden Buddha Statue & Tawang City View point, Evening Tawang War Memorial for the Light & Sound show. If time permits, visit the local market on your own. Overnight stay at Tawang hotel.
After Breakfast transfer to Shergaon. Visit Jung water fall. After lunch, visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa), Thumb-Chong Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa). Bomdila offers a wonderfully panoramic view of Himalayan landscapes and snow-clad ranges. Later move towards Shergaon. Evening you can visit the local market. Overnight stay in Shergaon.
Post breakfast, check out from your hotel & transfer to Guwahati via Bhairabkunda Gate & Saraighat Bridge. En route visit to the beautiful Kalaktang village & some unexplored monasteries. Check-in at your hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Post breakfast; pack your bags as you complete your amazing tour today. On the way get MAA Kamakhya devi blessing. (Depending on flight timing) After that, get transfer to Airport Railway station. Your tour concludes once you are dropped off at the Airport / Railway Station.

Important Notes:
1. ILP (Inner Line Permit) Required
For Indian tourists, ILP is mandatory to enter Arunachal Pradesh. Ensure you carry printed and digital copies.
2. Weather Conditions
Tawang can be extremely cold, especially in the mornings and evenings. Carry enough warm clothes including thermals, jackets, gloves, caps, and woolen socks.
3. Altitude & Health
Tawang is located at over 10,000 ft. altitude. Acclimatize slowly and stay hydrated. Carry personal medicines and consult a doctor if you have breathing or heart conditions.
4. Connectivity Issues
Mobile network is weak or unavailable in many areas, especially Bumla Pass and nearby. Inform your family in advance and stay in touch when in network zones.
5. Cash is King
ATMs are limited, and many places do not accept digital payments. Carry sufficient cash for food, shopping, and emergencies.
6. Local Culture & Army Areas
Respect Buddhist traditions, monasteries, and follow rules at military checkpoints and border areas like Bumla Pass. Photography may be restricted in sensitive areas.
7. Road Conditions & Travel Time
Roads are scenic but winding and slow. Be patient with travel delays due to weather or landslides.
8. Essential Packing
Carry sunglasses, sunscreen, moisturizers, torch, power bank, refillable water bottle, and ID proofs.
