Tour Itinerary
- On your arrival at the Guwahati airport or Railway station, our tour representative will meet you and start your journey to Bhalukpong. On reaching Bhalukpong, check in at the hotel. - Window sightseeing and lunch on road while travelling to Bhalukpong. - In the evening, head out to explore the local sites. You can also visit the Bhalukpong Fort; now converted into Govt. Office, which was built during the 10th-century and is a symbol of the ancient glory of the place. - Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
- Today after breakfast, you will enjoy a scenic drive to Dirang. En route, visit the beautiful Tipi Orchid Centre spreading over 112.8 acres of land and research rare orchids. - On reaching Dirang, check in at the hotel and head out to visit the Dirang Dzong and a Monpa Village. Also, visit the nearby Monpa Village to experience colourful cultural activities and dance and explore constructing houses with bamboo and mud that save them from chilled weather. - Return to your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay at Dirang.
- Today after breakfast, you will head to Tawang. En route, you will visit Sela Pass. Here, you can enjoy a breathtaking Himalayan vista along with one of the most beautiful lakes in India. - Also, visit Jaswant Garh, a site to remember the martyrs of the 1962 Indo-China War and the Nunarang Fall, one of the most dramatic waterfalls in India. - Once you reach Tawang, check in at your hotel. The evening is at your leisure. - Enjoy an overnight stay at Tawang.
- Wake up early in the morning, enjoy breakfast, and get ready to explore some more in Tawang. Visit Madhuri Lake and Pangateng Tso Lake. Once done, get back to the hotel. The rest of the time is free at leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Tawang. - Bumla Pass - One can visit Bumla Pass after obtaining a special permit and get to roam in breathtaking wilderness here. Covered with snow throughout the year, Bumla Pass is a famous spot for picnics at an elevation of 5000 m above sea level. Bumla Pass is best visited from the month of May to October.
- Today after breakfast, you will drive to Bomdila. En route, visit Nag Temple & Gontse Garden Rabgye Ling Monastery. - On arrival, check in at the hotel. If time permits, visit the popular Craft Centre at Bomdila. Female traders run the Craft Centre at Bomdila. Here you can buy wooden and bamboo products and colourful clothes made by the people of nearby villages. - Also, visit the museum to get the essence of the culture and lifestyle of the local people. - Return to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay at Bomdila.
- Greet the day with a toothsome breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Today, you will be transferred to Kaziranga, one of the must-visit tourist destinations in Assam. - Tourists across the country visit Kaziranga every year to observe the one-horned rhinoceros, for which Kaziranga is renowned all over the world. The national park is spread across an area of about 430 square kilometres. - Kaziranga is home to wondrous wildlife, including tigers, wild buffalo, gaur, leopard, stag, deer, hog, wild boar, and many beautiful migratory birds. - On arrival, complete your check-in formalities at the hotel and relax. Enjoy your rest of the day free at leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel for deep sleep.
- Early morning, head out to enjoy an Elephant Safari (on your own), Our vehicle will drop you at the Safari point. - Return for breakfast then starts your jeep safari Arranged by HTH in the Kaziranga national park. Jeep will pick you up from hotel lobby. - Kaziranga National Park is home to many species of animals & birds including the One-horned rhino. - Return to the hotel Check out. Post lunch starts the journey toward Shillong, Scotland of the east. - You will come across the Umiam Lake (Barapani) while travelling from Kaziranga to Shillong, capturing the mesmerizing beauty it has to offer. We shall move forward. - Check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay in a hotel at Shillong.
- Enjoy a lip-smacking breakfast in the morning. - Further, visit the breathtakingly Mawkdok Dympep Viewpoint which offers wonderful views of the V-shaped valley with sloping hills carpeted with green on either side. - After this, stop at the viewpoints of Nohkalikai falls and Seven Sisters’ fall to enjoy the amazing views of the waterfalls. - Next, spend some time exploring the Mawsmai and Arwah caves famous for their fossils that can be viewed with the lit-up interiors. - After completing the day’s sightseeing, reach your hotel in Cherrapunjee. - Overnight stay at the hotel in Cherrapunjee
- After having your breakfast at the hotel, board your transfers to Dawki. - Take your first stopover at Mawlynnong (110 km/ 02 ½ hrs drive) and get a chance to walk around Asia’s Cleanest Village. - On the outskirts of the village, witness nature’s wonder in the form of a Balancing Rock, this remains unmoved through years, despite the storms and cyclones. - Later, take up to visit the Single Decker Living Root Bridge in Riwai village. - Post this you will reach Dawki where the ultimate experience of boating in crystal clear waters of the Umngot River awaits you (at your own cost). - After enjoying your boat ride, head to your stay in Shnongpdeng/Dawki. - Overnight at Dawki.
- Wake up to see the beauty of East Khasi Hills, and have Breakfast. - You can do multiple adventure activities (on your own) like Kayaking, Boating, Zip lining, Cliff jumping, etc over here. - Start for Jowai to visit India's most magical waterfall: Krang Suri Waterfalls. - Get drenched and swim in the natural pools. - Travel back to Shillong after witnessing this attractive place. - Overnight stay at Shillong.
- Post breakfast, check out from hotel and get transfer to Guwahati, On the way, Visit Umiam lake (Barapani) as you leave Shillong. - Upon reaching Guwahati, Visit to MAA Kamakhya Devi Temple. - Post lunch; check in to the hotel, Evening at your leisure or go shopping. Important Notes:
1. Valid ID & ILP Mandatory
Carry a government-issued ID for all travelers. Inner Line Permit (ILP) is compulsory for entering Arunachal Pradesh (Tawang region).
2. Pack According to Weather
• Kaziranga: Light clothes for day, jacket for morning safaris.
• Tawang: Warm layers, thermals, gloves, woolen cap, waterproof shoes.
3. Health & Altitude Precaution
Tawang is at high altitude (10,000+ ft). Acclimatize slowly, drink water, and avoid alcohol. Carry personal medicines (especially for asthma, BP, or altitude sickness).
4. Wildlife Safari Instructions
During Jeep/Elephant safaris in Kaziranga, stay silent, avoid flash photography, don’t feed animals, and listen to the guide at all times.
5. Unstable Network Zones
Mobile signal is weak or unavailable in most parts of Arunachal and interior Kaziranga. Share your travel plan with family beforehand.
6. Cash is Essential
ATMs are rare in remote areas. Carry enough cash as UPI/Digital payments may not work in places like Tawang or Kaziranga forest lodges.
7. Respect Local Culture & Army Areas
Be respectful at monasteries and tribal villages. Don’t take photos in army-restricted zones (e.g., near Bumla Pass) unless allowed.
8. Travel Time Can Be Long
Be mentally prepared for long, winding road journeys – especially Bomdila to Tawang. Keep snacks, water, and a neck pillow handy.
9. Safety Essentials to Pack
Power bank, torch, sunscreen, moisturiser, basic first aid, refillable water bottle, raincoat/poncho, and dry snacks.
10. Eco-Friendly Travel
Do not litter. Carry your waste bags, avoid plastic bottles, and help preserve the pristine nature of Northeast India.
