Important Notes:

• Inner Line Permit (ILP) is mandatory for all Indian tourists visiting Nagaland. Ensure it is obtained before travel.
• Weather in Kohima and Dzukou Valley can be unpredictable – carry warm clothing and rain protection.
• Dzukou Valley trek involves steep climbs; not recommended for guests with serious health conditions or mobility issues.
• Travel time in Nagaland may be longer than expected due to hilly roads – start journeys early in the day.
• Limited luxury options are available; accommodation will be neat and comfortable but may be basic in some areas.
• Respect the local culture and traditions – avoid loud behavior and dress modestly in villages.
• Avoid single-use plastics and maintain cleanliness, especially in eco-sensitive areas like Dzukou Valley and Khonoma Village.
• Carry sufficient cash for local shopping, as digital payments may not always work.
• Smoking and alcohol consumption in public places is discouraged, particularly in traditional villages.
• Kindly follow the instructions of your local guide/escort for safety and smooth travel.

Trip Guideline:

• Travel Documents: Carry valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar/Passport/Voter ID) for hotel check-in and permits (if required).
• Fitness Level: Moderate physical fitness is recommended for the Dzukou Valley trek. Carry a trekking stick, energy snacks, and enough water.
• Clothing: Light woolens/jackets for Kohima (cool evenings) and comfortable trekking gear for Dzukou Valley. Raincoat/umbrella recommended in case of showers.
• Footwear: Good quality trekking shoes with strong grip are essential for the valley trek.
• Local Customs: Respect Naga traditions and village rules. Always ask before taking photos of locals.
• Connectivity: Mobile network may be weak in certain areas, especially during treks and village visits.
• Health & Safety: Carry personal medicines, first-aid kit, and stay hydrated. Avoid littering – Dzukou Valley is an eco-sensitive zone.
• Food & Water: Local cuisine is available in Kohima, but during treks, carry packed food. Stick to bottled/filtered water.
• Cash: ATMs are limited outside Kohima/Dimapur. Keep sufficient cash for village visits and local markets.
• Permits: For Indian tourists, Inner Line Permit (ILP) is required to enter Nagaland – arrange in advance or through the tour operator.
